Our Chapter Journey
A Legacy in Motion

At the South Belt Houston Chapter’s Debutante Ball, two visionary Mothers envisioned something more for the children of Southern Brazoria County. Their conversation that day planted the first seed for what would become GCBC.
June 30, 2022 —
A Spark Ignites

Inspired by their mission, with the assistance of the South Belt Houston Chapter we laid the groundwork. Together, we formed the foundation of what would become the GCBC Interest Group.
Summer, Fall 2022 — Vision Takes Root

Over 150 local mothers joined an informational webinar to learn about forming a new chapter. The overwhelming interest affirmed the urgent need for a culturally enriching space for families in Brazoria County.
November 2022 —
The Community Responds

With the sponsorship of the South Belt Houston Chapter and the support of the South Central Region, the Gulf Coast Brazoria County Interest Group was officially granted Provisional Group status by Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
April 28, 2023 — Provisional Status Granted

As the Group of Extraordinary Moms (GEMs), 69 mothers, 83 children, 20 teens, and 55 fathers dedicated themselves to training, community service, and sisterhood—proving their readiness to join the national organization.
May 2023 - July 2024 — The GEMs Shine

At the 46th National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the GCBC Provisional Group was officially approved to become a Provisional Chapter—one of only 10 new chapters voted in nationally.
July 26, 2024 —
National Recognition

In a powerful and joyous ceremony in Houston, Texas, the Gulf Coast Brazoria County Chapter was officially installed as a chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.—witnessed by proud mothers, families, and regional leadership.
August 11, 2024 —
